Anthropic president Daniela Amodei took the stage at Snowflake Summit 26 in San Francisco on Monday evening, joining Snowflake chief executive Sridhar Ramaswamy for the conference's opening keynote. The conversation covered governed AI, the challenge of moving models from pilots to production, and why trust between the AI provider and the enterprise customer has become the variable that most determines deployment speed. It also put a public face on how far the two companies' $200 million partnership has progressed since its announcement in December 2025.
From Commitment to Shipping Products
The multi-year, $200 million agreement between Anthropic and Snowflake was announced late last year. By the time Summit 26 opened, the partnership had moved well past the announcement phase. Claude models are now live inside Snowflake Cortex AI, the company's data and AI product suite, available to more than 12,600 global enterprise customers running workloads on Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
The integration goes deeper than a simple API connection. Through Snowflake Cortex AI Functions, customers can apply Claude models to text, images, audio, and traditional tabular data using SQL, without moving the data outside Snowflake's governance perimeter. That combination of frontier reasoning and data sovereignty is the specific problem most enterprise IT organizations have been trying to solve since capable AI models began reaching production readiness.

The Products Enterprises Are Already Using
Three Snowflake products built on Claude are now in active use. Snowflake Intelligence, the natural-language analytics agent powered by Claude Sonnet 4.5, lets users query structured and unstructured data through conversation rather than SQL, then turn those answers into action. Snowflake Cortex Agents enables teams to build production-ready data agents that retrieve and reason across an organization's full Snowflake environment, with the company reporting greater than 90 percent accuracy on complex text-to-SQL tasks in internal benchmarks.
The third product is Snowflake Cortex Code, a coding agent for Snowflake developers. It has become what Snowflake describes as its fastest-growing product ever, reaching 7,100 active users since launch. Coding tools have consistently been the proving ground for enterprise AI adoption, and the traction Cortex Code is showing with Claude suggests the combination is working in the environment where it matters most to buyers.

The Claude Marketplace and What It Changes for Enterprise Buyers
Snowflake is one of six companies named as launch partners in Anthropic's Claude Marketplace, a procurement and commercial framework designed to simplify how enterprises buy and deploy Claude capabilities across vendors. Under the arrangement, companies with existing Anthropic spending commitments can apply those credits toward Snowflake AI capabilities, consolidating AI spend rather than managing separate contracts with each vendor.
The marketplace structure matters beyond administrative convenience. It signals that Anthropic is building toward an enterprise distribution model that resembles how hyperscalers aggregate software contracts, reducing procurement friction for large organizations that want to standardize on Claude across multiple tools and platforms. For Snowflake, it means customers arriving through Anthropic's commercial relationships can move directly into Cortex AI deployments.
Governance and security run throughout the architecture. Snowflake Horizon Catalog provides end-to-end data controls so regulated industries, including financial services and healthcare, can deploy Claude-powered agents in production without relaxing compliance requirements. The companies are also collaborating on Claude Code Security capabilities, which help organizations scan codebases for vulnerabilities with human oversight built into the review workflow.
The Snowflake partnership is one of several large enterprise integrations Anthropic has secured as it approaches its IPO. SAP announced a Claude integration for autonomous enterprise workflows earlier this year, and Anthropic's partner network now spans consulting, healthcare, legal, and financial services. For Snowflake, which has positioned data governance as its core differentiator against cloud AI competitors, having Claude as the primary reasoning layer reinforces that argument at the platform level rather than the feature level.
The question is whether that governance-first framing translates from Summit announcements into the production deployments that fill Anthropic's revenue ledger. Based on Cortex Code's user growth curve, the early data is moving in that direction.
